From 1785 to 1925 the Qajar dynasty, a family of Iranian origin, governed Persia. An unique years where art took over the streets and this eastern region shone for its open and contemporary character. With this artwork, the artist Ricardo Cavolo wants to homage that line of philanthropic leaders. "A painting with a strong modern character was developed in a very religious country, it is a unique spark in the History of Art". And that’s how Mahtab is born, an independent woman, delighted with art, with change, who lives free in a place where creativity is rewarded. Mahtab represents all those heroines who walked with their powerful creativity through the Persia of the eighteenth century.
