Lourdes Villagomez painting a muralShe is considered one of the mexican plastic artists with more international projection. Her work was ranked in the number 2 in the last ranking made by the art platform Collective Culture about the 50 most important emerging artists in Latin America.

She is graduated in graphic design from the Ibero-American University of Mexico City, she later majored in art and completed her studies in photography and fine arts at Cats College, Cambridge, UK, and she has a master's degree in visual arts at the Academia Riaci in Florence (Italy).

The universe of Villagómez is united to the aesthetic values of her country, of her culture and the Mexican tradition, which bet for the color and the symbols between she grew up, from the catrinas of Day of the Deadths to the overwhelming nature and the Aztec folklore . "Mexico is a country full of color that definitely influences my palette.Many times I go to Mexican markets looking for combinations of colors that I use in my work," she explains. Many of her artworks have been realized in murals, following the natural stream of the great format of the Mexican artists. She has received different prizes and recognitions, like the Prize to the Design by Channel 11, and has exhibited her work in Italy, USA and Mexico.
