He is a multifaceted illustrator who explores a new colorful and powerful realism, with references to architecture, trends and fashion. Part of his imaginary breathes an urban spirit that comes from his past related to rap and graffiti in the suburbs of Madrid, and takes him to a more pop painting style.

Alex de Marcos (Madrid, 1985) "writes drawings", as he says, "since I was little I have been doodling monkeys on the margins of the notebooks". He has worked on all areas of illustration: from the editorial, his last three published books are Hipster de extrarradio (Ed. Lunwerg), Kurt Cobain. About a boy and Bolita de nube (Ed.jaguar); to advertising jobs for agencies around the world. He has collaborated with major international brands such as Nike, Inditex, Just Eat, Movistar, Levi's, Fnac, Instagram, Royal Bliss...

He received the prestigious Bronze and Gold awards in illustration from the ADCI (Art Director Club Italiano) in 2011 with campaigns for the Milan Metro and the brand ROC. His work has been exhibited in galleries such as Mad is Mad (Madrid) or Miscelánea (Barcelona).
