A group of young, uniformed child like those who appeared in the Rossellini or Vitorio de Sica films. The artist Simmon Said speaks in this limited edition silkscreen of another of his big obsessions: uniforms. "I've always liked group photographs, especially those made in uniform schools. I was one of those child. I play to guess how is the personality and life of these anonymous children. I enjoy creating stories. We are born with the desire to live, until we discover what is the fear of being yourself, then we look at the rest. We make ours the thoughts of others without rebellion, we become soldiers of an invisible army, well uniformed and sufficiently depersonalized to blur any criteria of our own. We let ourselves be molded by the light of a single-minded sun succumbing to the desperate need to fit in. We miss the opportunity to vindicate ourselves in a world as hostile as a true verse loose in that shadow club. Who will be the brave?
