This artwork by the British artist Marcus Oakley is a tribute to architectural drawing, but he translates it to the iconographic, pictorial and illustrative, influenced by design and architecture, especially for the brutalism movement. The geometry of a building versus the geometry of its stroke. "I am continually exploring and playing with the potential that a line provides. Thick, thin, zigzag, curves, fast, slow, crooked ... all of them together provide a pictorial whole that is mixed with humor and melody," he says.
