María José Gallardo Profile

The artist Mariajosé Gallardo has a bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in Design and Engraving by the University of Fine Arts of Seville and she is a founding member of the Sala eStar Exhibition Project also in Seville. Mariajosé Gallardo (Villafranca de los Barros, Badajoz, 1978) has participated in several editions of art fairs, such as ARCO, ARTELISBOA, the Contemporary Art Fair of Santander and Art Marbella. She has also exhibited at Hangar-7 (Salzburg), at Galerie Wies Willemsen in Amsterdam, at the Cervantes Institute in Tokyo or at the Cultural Center of Spain in Lima (Peru).

Among other recognitions, she has received the Paul Ricard National Painting Prize, the Honorable Mention in the 5th ABC Painting Prize or the First Prize of the Focus Abengoa Painting Competition.

Her work, between natural and human poetry, is found in several collections: Andalusian Center of Contemporary Art, Andalusian Institute of Youth, Junta de Extremadura, Cajasol Collection, Museum of Graphic Work of San Clemente, Antonio Pérez Foundation of Cuenca, Focus Abengoa Foundation, Grupo Lozano Collection, Collection of Technical Engineers College of Seville, Red Bull Collection, Paul Ricard Art Club, Caja Rural Jaén, Caja Extremadura Foundation and Contemporary Art Center of Malaga. | @mjgs17
