A dreamer. A realist. Two compatible concepts in the work and in the person of Chamo San (Barcelona, 1987) . He studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
During his studies he flirted with various artistic disciplines including instalations (for 5 years he was part of the collective Penny productions) and photography. It would be the already extinct group of photographers AtelieRetaguardia who would give him the opportunity to exhibit his work for the first time in a gallery in 2010, presenting drawings and sketches of the work of these photographers specialized in nineteenth century techniques.
Since then he has exhibited his work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in several cities in Spain and in France, Germany, Mexico or the United States. Similarly he began his career as an illustrator working for big brands like Nike, Fashion TV, Heineken, Nokia, Panenka and for magazines like GQ or Tentaciones (El País) or even doing the campaign of Sant Jordi for the City of Barcelona. His drawings are characterized by a marked realistic style. What interests him most is the combination of work volumes, shadows and shadows with geometric or flat resources. Also the mixture of artistic languages between reality and dream.
